About

Hello there! I'm Kevin Paul Castaneto, a Nuke compositor and 3D environment artist currently pursuing my passion at the Los Angeles Film School as a senior artist student.

From a young age, my dream was to become an animator and VFX artist, and I delved into creating flip books, stop-motion short films, and experimenting with model construction and destruction. Iconic films like Star Wars, Jurassic Park and Marvel Cinematic Universe movies ignited my lifelong fascination with visual effects and storytelling, leading me to be mesmerized by the possibilities of contemporary technology in delivering top-notch cinematic effects.

Before my journey in visual arts, I spent five years in the Philippines pursuing a career in Civil Engineering, where I honed my technical skills in 3D modeling for houses and structural design using tools like AutoCAD, Google Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and structural design software. However, my passion for visual storytelling eventually drew me back in, and now I'm fully immersed in the creative process, focusing on building my Nuke compositing and 3D environment portfolio. While I also possess experience as a lighting artist, 3D modeler, digital sculptor, texture artist, and storyboard artist. Nuke holds a special place in my heart due to its amazing capabilities.

As I strive to master Nuke and Unreal Engine, I remain committed to staying at the forefront of this ever-evolving field by constantly learning new technologies. I'm always eager to challenge myself with demanding projects that require countless hours of computer work, driven by my love for creating captivating visual experiences.
